Racing Frames |
|
| In 1974, having already made
chassis for many bikes, including dragsters, we designed and
constructed one of the first alloy chassis to be used in road-racing.
It was a cast-alloy monococque frame carrying fuel in the main
beam and was used very successfully by a number of top riders,
scoring many wins, and second and fourth place in the World
Championships. Over 40 were made. |

DR800 supermono chassis

The DR800 chassis illustrated
was built for the 2000 season and weighs in at just 7.2kgs.
Constructed of 32mm T45 aircraft grade steel tubing with Tig-welded
joints, it is immensely strong, as it has to be with a big 80+
horsepower single thumping at it! It employs a head angle of
23 degrees, trail 92mm & wheelbase of 1340mm. |
