TL1000 Forged Lightweight Pistons

Less weight means less mass to spin up, giving faster acceleration. These pistons give the TL R a compression ratio of 12.6:1 and the TL S 12:1, adding even more mid-range performance. Optionally, the piston crown can be given a recently developed ceramic thermal barrier coating which retains more of the heat energy in the burning gas, providing a stronger push on the piston.

Oversized Stainless Steel Valves

Our special 21N stainless steel valves are of an increased diameter and more efficient shape for better flow, improving volumetric efficiency. They are especially beneficial with the big-bore engine. The extra size is particularly useful in allowing the seat/port shape of the head to be improved.

High Performance Camshafts

Camshafts can be reprofiled for both road and racing applications, and are useable with standard springs and retainers. They provide a stronger mid-range and extra top end performance. An engine fitted with these options and a suitable exhaust system will deliver a good, solid powerband and a peak horsepower of up to 140bhp, depending on which other changes are made.

New Chassis Kit

Our custom TL chassis is made of aircraft quality 32mm diameter T45 steel tubing with all joints TIG-welded. It incorporates a braced, dual-tube design providing enormous stiffness and strength. Rear suspension travel is 120mm, controlled by an Ohlins fully adjustable shock, with custom valving to eliminate squat while allowing a lighter spring to aid traction & ride quality. Big-Bore Kits

We have different kits, depending on the level of performance required: there is the simple bore to 100 or 102mm which gives 1036 or 1080cc respectively. Then, we introduce our modified crankshaft/con-rods conversion which gives the possibility of 1145cc, while the longer stroke endows the engine with tremendous torque, well over 90ft/lbs. These are all bolt-on conversions, no machining required.
